Voglibose 0.2 mg
VOLIBO
0.2 TABLET is used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus along
with diet and exercise to improve post-prandial blood glucose levels
(when only diet and/or exercise or oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin
preparation in addition to diet and/or exercise does not result in
adequate glycemic control). It contains Voglibose which belongs to the
group of medicines called Anti-diabetics. It works by inhibiting the
intestinal enzymes that are responsible for breaking complex sugars into
simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents the level of blood glucose
from increasing very high immediately after meals.
